PNB MetLife appoints Asha Murali as Chief Actuary and Products Officer

Chandigarh: PNB MetLife, one of India’s leading private life insurance companies, has appointed Asha Murali as Chief Actuary and Products Officer. Asha will also be the Appointed Actuary of the company. She will report to the MD & CEO, Ashish Kumar Srivastava. 

Asha will be responsible for overseeing the company’s Actuarial practices, including policy valuation and strengthening and developing the risk and capital framework for the company. Along with strategizing on actuarial practices, she will be instrumental in introducing new and innovative product offerings to meet customers’ new and evolving needs.

On the appointment, Ashish Kumar Srivastava, MD & CEO, PNB MetLife, said, “We are delighted to have Asha as part of the PNB MetLife family. Asha joins PNB MetLife from ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company and has over 25 years of experience in the industry spanning across Actuarial, Investment and Operations functions. In the past, she has been part of the working group set up by the IRDAI on new standard on Insurance Contracts (International Financial Reporting Standards) and is currently a member of the Advisory Group on Life Insurance of the Institute of Actuaries of India. She is a Fellow member of the Institute of Actuaries of India and the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.
