Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday (September 9) to assess the extensive loss of life and property caused by heavy monsoon rains in the state.

Dharamshala, September 7, 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday (September 9) to assess the extensive loss of life and property caused by heavy monsoon rains in the state.
In Himachal Pradesh, Leader of Opposition and former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur informed that he himself would attend this meeting in Dharamshala, where the Prime Minister will take stock of the devastation. “Day after tomorrow, the Prime Minister is coming to Himachal Pradesh to review the damage caused by the heavy rainfall. I will brief him about the ground situation,” said Thakur
Himachal Pradesh has recorded more than 350 deaths during the current monsoon season, with widespread destruction of houses, roads, and public infrastructure. Thakur said he would apprise the Prime Minister of the situation in the worst-hit areas.
