Union Minister Anurag Thakur, speaking on the occasion, highlighted the potential increase in pilgrim footfall as a result of the project. He expressed his aspiration for the temple's rejuvenation to mirror the grandeur of other significant religious sites in India, such as Kashi Vishwanath, Tirupati Balaji, Ayodhya, Varanasi, and Vaishno Devi. This, he believes, will not only benefit the local community and business owners but also enrich the cultural and spiritual heritage of the region.

"It is a joyous moment that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has today remotely flagged off development projects under the Prasad scheme at the esteemed Shaktipeeth of Mata Chintpurni Ji Dham, totaling Rs 25 crore," Thakur remarked.

He added that Under Prasad Yojana, facilities for devotees will be developed in the first phase of development of Shri Chintpurni Devi Temple complex. These mainly include Kirtan Hall, Prasad distribution room, 38 shops, food court, control room, devotee waiting room, security check room, emergency and first aid room, drinking water facility etc. and facilities for barrier-free movement like lifts and ramps, for VVIPs. Anurag Thakur further said, “The Rs 25 crore given by the Government of India to the Ministry of Tourism will provide employment and self-employment opportunities along with the development of infrastructure. This will greatly benefit the local folk, art, culture, cuisine and tourism.
He extended his gratitude towards Prime Minister Modi for this initiative, offering his congratulations and best wishes to the pilgrims visiting the temple from across Himachal Pradesh and the entire country.

Thakur further elaborated that the developmental projects are expected to bolster employment, promote self-employment, and facilitate the growth of local arts, culture, and tourism.
