A Plastic Waste Management Training Programme was conducted at the hostel under Bisleri International Pvt. Ltd.’s CSR initiative, Bottles for Change. The training session was organised to create awareness about responsible plastic waste management and sustainable practices among the hostel community.

Chandigarh, February 9, 2026: A Plastic Waste Management Training Programme was conducted at the hostel under Bisleri International Pvt. Ltd.’s CSR initiative, Bottles for Change. The training session was organised to create awareness about responsible plastic waste management and sustainable practices among the hostel community.
The training programme was held within the hostel premises. A workshop was conducted in the common room of the hostel. The initiative aimed to educate participants on the importance of proper plastic waste handling and its role in reducing environmental pollution.
The session was conducted by Garima Sharma, CSR Executive, Bisleri International Pvt. Ltd. Participants included staff from Mess 1 and Mess 2, canteen workers, hostel wardens, all hostel staff members and a few hostel residents. The programme was attended by Dr. Mahesh Thakur, Warden, along with other hostel staff.
During the training, participants were educated on segregation of plastic waste, the importance of source segregation and the proper use of bins for maintaining hygiene and efficient waste collection. A demonstration of recycled plastic products was also conducted to help participants understand the recycling process and the value of plastic as a reusable resource.
The programme concluded with an interactive discussion, emphasising collective responsibility and encouraging participants to adopt environmentally responsible waste management practices in their daily routines.
