All premieres to unfold on the channel’s primetime property, ‘Saturday First Show’

The new and most talked about Hindi movie channel, &pictures continues its acquisition spree! It has acquired movies like Phata Poster Nikla Hero, Ramaiya Vastavaiya and Jayanta Bhai ki Luv Story along with Besharam, Zanjeer, Akaash Vani, Krishna Aur Kans, Super Se Ooper, Mahabharat (Animation), Ghanchakkhar and the year’s biggest blockbuster, Chennai Express. Commando was the first film to premiere on the channel’s key primetime property, ‘Saturday First Show’. All upcoming new films and those rarely seen on television will air on this new property.

Ruchir Tiwari, Cluster Programming Head, Hindi Movie Channels ZEEL announcing the purchases said, “The audiences response to &pictures has been very good and the viewership of the channel is steadily growing. Our positioning of Udaan & Neev seems to have struck a chord with the viewers.  We are very happy to have augmented our vast library to bring these films to our audiences. While movies like Shahid Kapoor-Priyanka Chopra starrer Teri Meri Kahaani, Vidya Balan-Emraan Hashmi starrer Ghanchakkar and newbie Kartik Tiwari and Nushrat Bharucha starrer Akaas Vani are all set to premiere on &pictures this month, others listed above will be showcased in the subsequent months adding on to the festive season.
