Piaggio India maintains its leadership in overall three-wheeler Cargo range in FY 22 YTD

Pune, December 15, 2021:  Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Ltd (PVPL), a 100 % subsidiary of the Italian Piaggio Group, European leader of the two-wheeler sector and India’s leading manufacturer of small commercial vehicles continues to maintain its leadership in the overall three-wheeler Cargo segment in FY 22 YTD.
 
The growing demand for e-commerce and delivery business has helped cargo segment recover from the pandemic. This recovery has led Piaggio to maintain leadership in the light transportation industry. Piaggio has a diverse portfolio that caters to varied customer needs with a complete range of three-wheelers in diesel, petrol, CNG, LPG fuel variants and has also entered the electric vehicle market in multiple deck sizes. Piaggio, a traditional leader in the  Diesel category has now, with its Apé Xtra HT range, gained considerable volumes in the alternate fuel segment, as the total sales from April – November 2021 stood at 15,206 units, based on Vahan data   making them dominate the Indian three-wheeler cargo market.
 
Piaggio strongly bets on innovation in its products which adds value to customer experience. It has the industry’s first and only petrol three-wheeler cargo, Apé Xtra HT Petrol, that provides more power and a smoother drive quality even in the hilly terrains.
