PI-RAHI, Northern Region S&T Cluster launches VitalsChair™ India’s first AI-powered integrated health monitoring platform

Panjab University–IIT Ropar Regional Accelerator for Holistic Innovations Foundation and Northern Region Science & Technology Cluster (PI-RAHI) today launched VitalsChair, an indigenous AI-powered integrated health monitoring platform, at the Bhai Ghanaiya Ji Institute of Health, Panjab University, Chandigarh.

Chandigarh, February 18, 2026: Panjab University–IIT Ropar Regional Accelerator for Holistic Innovations Foundation and Northern Region Science & Technology Cluster (PI-RAHI) today launched VitalsChair, an indigenous AI-powered integrated health monitoring platform, at the Bhai Ghanaiya Ji Institute of Health, Panjab University, Chandigarh. 
PI-RAHI has been set up under the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, with the Panjab University Vice Chancellor as its Chairperson. The initiative has been developed in collaboration with BluAI Private Limited.
VitalsChair enables comprehensive health screening in about seven to ten minutes. The system measures over 45 health parameters, including blood pressure, pulse rate, body composition, AI-enabled 5-lead and 12-lead ECG without gel-based electrodes, point-of-care blood tests and AI-generated health insights. All assessments are conducted through a single ergonomic chair-based setup.
The launch was held in the presence of Panjab University Vice Chancellor and Chairperson, PI-RAHI, Prof. Renu Vig, and Dr Vishal Choudhary, Scientist F, Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India.
Among those present were Director, CSIO Chandigarh Prof. Shantanu Bhattacharya, COO and National Coordinator, I-STEM Dr Harilal Bhaskar, Director, PI-RAHI Prof. Rajat Sandhir, Advisor, PI-RAHI Dr Jatinder Kaur Arora, Honorary Director, SAIF CIL Prof. Gaurav Verma, and Chief Operating Officer, PI-RAHI Ms Neha Arora, along with faculty members and healthcare professionals.
The developers stated that VitalsChair™ simplifies preventive health screening by bringing together multiple diagnostic processes that usually require separate devices and clinical arrangements.
PI-RAHI will support scaling up capability and facilitate deployment of VitalsChair™ across various parts of the country.
Free health assessments using VitalsChair will be offered till 20 February 2026 at the University Health Centre, Panjab University. Students, faculty and staff can avail themselves of the service during this period.
