Philanthropist Vijay Chopra gifts costly LED TVs, and grinder mixers and shirts to 71st Junior Women National Champion team and coaches from Punjab

Ludhiana, March 23, 2022: After paying homage to 23rd March martyrs, to encourage youth to sports, in an impressive function jointly presided over by Baldev Singh, Dronacharya Awardee coach in hockey and Parminder Singh Heer (SP City) an international basketball player, the team members of 71st National Championship Junior Basketball team were awarded costly gifts LED TVs, and grinder mixers and shirts  etc  at Guru Nanak Stadium Ludhiana. Punjab girls created history when they won Gold after a gap of 29 years for the state in this January at Indore.

Speaking to players, Baldev Singh asked players to play with utmost passion and discipline as success follows such dedication. Parminder Singh Heer said he was confident that Punjab players will keep their winning edge further. 
Teja Singh Dhaliwal, General Secretary, PBA told that Vijay Chopra’s gesture in giving such useful costly gifts to Junior Women players is another important milestone in philanthropy to encourage girl players. He appreciated the role of coaches, Saloni, Davinderpal Singh Dhindsa, Sukhwinder Singh, Narinder Kumar,Ravinder Gill and Rajinder Singh. 
Prof. Rajinder Singh and Sumesh Chaddha from DBA also congratulated players and coaches. 
Brij Goyal of DBA also spoke high of Chopra’s gesture again this time as he has earlier also contributed lacs for promotion of basketball. He asked Punjab Government to reserve jobs for outstanding national/international players as there has been no recruitment of sportsperson after 2016 in the state .
Kanishka, Kavya,Manmeeet kaur(Valuable players)  and Coach Saloni were awarded costly LED TVs while others received good mixer grinders and other articles.
