PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry today flagged off the PHDCCI Uttarakhand Adventure Ride 3.0, a three-day motorcycle rally being held from 10th to 12th April 2026, aimed at promoting road safety awareness, responsible driving behaviour and adventure tourism in Uttarakhand. The initiative is supported by Ministry of Road Transport and Highways and Ministry of Tourism and presented by Apollo Tyres.

New Delhi, April 9, 2026: PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry today flagged off the PHDCCI Uttarakhand Adventure Ride 3.0, a three-day motorcycle rally being held from 10th to 12th April 2026, aimed at promoting road safety awareness, responsible driving behaviour and adventure tourism in Uttarakhand. The initiative is supported by Ministry of Road Transport and Highways and Ministry of Tourism and presented by Apollo Tyres.
The adventure ride was flagged off in the presence of Harsh Malhotra, Minister of State for the Ministry of Corporate Affairs and the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways; V. Umashankar, Secretary MoRTH; Mahmood Ahmed, Additional Secretary, MoRTH; Dr. Ranjeet Mehta CEO & Secretary General, PHDCCI and Dr. Jatinder Singh, Deputy Secretary General, PHDCCI at MoRTH, Transport Bhawan.
Addressing the gathering, the Minister appreciated the initiative and emphasized the need to promote road safety awareness among youth. He highlighted the importance of adhering to traffic rules, maintaining speed limits, wearing ISI-certified helmets, and avoiding over-speeding and drink-and-drive practices, which are major causes of road accidents.
He also outlined key government initiatives, including financial assistance of Up to ₹1.5 lakh per victim for injuries caused by motor vehicles, covering expenses for up to 7 days under the PM Rahat scheme and the deployment of ambulances equipped with advanced rescue cutters at toll plazas to ensure timely response during the critical “golden hour.” He further referred to the Rah- Veer Scheme, which rewards Good Samaritans with ₹25,000 for assisting accident victims without fear of fear of hospital complications, legal or police harassment. He commended PHDCCI for its efforts in strengthening road safety awareness through this initiative.
The expedition includes over 40 plus bikers, including women riders, who will travel from New Delhi to Bhimtal, Uttarakhand over three days, covering Moradabad, Jim Corbett, Mukteshwar, and Bhimtal. A youth interaction session in Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad is also planned to promote responsible driving behaviour.
Speaking on the initiative, Dr. Ranjeet Mehta, stated that the rally has been conceptualized to encourage responsible riding among youth and to create awareness about road safety norms. He further added that the initiative also aims to position Uttarakhand as a leading hub for adventure tourism and motorsports in India, while promoting the state among the national riding community as a premier destination offering diverse and scenic routes for motorcycle touring.
The rally is also witnessing participation from officials of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, further strengthening the outreach and impact of the initiative. Participants are expected to act as ambassadors of road safety, promoting the use of ISI-mark helmets and adherence to traffic rules throughout the journey.
The PHDCCI Uttarakhand Adventure Ride 3.0 reflects a collective effort towards building a culture of safe and responsible driving while simultaneously promoting adventure tourism and youth engagement across the country.
