Ludhiana, July 30, 2025: In a significant interaction aimed at strengthening public-private collaboration in the infrastructure sector, the leadership of the PHDCCI met with Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, at his office in New Delhi today.
The delegation, led by Hemant Jain, President, and Dr. Ranjeet Mehta, Secretary General, held detailed discussions with the Hon’ble Minister on key issues pertaining to India’s transport and logistics ecosystem, including the need for accelerated green mobility solutions, and greater industry engagement in highway and expressway projects.
During the meeting, the PHDCCI delegation extended a formal invitation to Shri Gadkari to address the 120th Annual Session of the Chamber, a landmark event commemorating 120 years of PHDCCI’s contribution to India’s economic and industrial progress. The session, themed “India’s Rise as a Trusted Global Partner,” will be held on October 9, 2025, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
Gadkari appreciated the Chamber’s long-standing role in fostering industry-government partnerships and accepted the invitation to be a keynote speaker at the Annual Session.
The meeting reaffirmed the Chamber’s commitment to working closely with policymakers to realize India’s vision of world-class infrastructure and sustainable economic growth.
