PHDCCI and New Mexico Partnership boosting Indo–US Innovation Investment Ties under New Mexico’s S&T Opportunities
PHDCCI, in collaboration with the New Mexico Partnership, NMexus Center, and the State of New Mexico (USA), organized an Industry Interactive Session on “New Mexico’s S&T Roadmap: Prioritizing Investments for Enhanced Competitiveness in Science and Technology” at PHD House, New Delhi.
New Delhi, February 21, 2026: PHDCCI, in collaboration with the New Mexico Partnership, NMexus Center, and the State of New Mexico (USA), organized an Industry Interactive Session on “New Mexico’s S&T Roadmap: Prioritizing Investments for Enhanced Competitiveness in Science and Technology” at PHD House, New Delhi.
The session focused on strengthening India–USA collaboration in innovation-led sectors including advanced manufacturing, aerospace and defence, clean energy, semiconductors, cybersecurity, and life sciences.
The New Mexico Partnership Team was led by Melinda Allen, President & CEO, New Mexico Partnership along with Amar Vakil, Executive Director, NMexus Center and Maria Sodre, Business Expansion Specialist, NMexus Center
The Team interacted with Dr. Ranjeet Mehta, CEO & Secretary General of PHDCCI along with Sunil Mangla, Chair of PHDCCI Manufacturing Committee and discussed on long term collaboration with each other to promote mutual business interest between New Mexican and Indian industry.
During the Interactive Session wit the industry members Dr. Nasir Jamal, Director, PHDCCI, emphasized the growing importance of technology-driven economic partnerships and highlighted the potential for deeper institutional and industry linkages between India and New Mexico.
Delivering the keynote presentation, Melinda Allen, President & CEO, New Mexico Partnership, outlined New Mexico’s science and technology roadmap, emphasizing the State’s competitive advantages including access to national laboratories, research universities, skilled workforce, and a supportive business environment. She highlighted targeted investment opportunities and sector-specific incentives designed to attract global enterprises and foster high-value innovation ecosystems.
Further, Amar Vakil, Executive Director, NMexus Center, presented the NMexus Center as a purpose-built accelerator aimed at enabling Indian startups and companies to establish a strategic presence in the United States. He elaborated on structured market-entry support, commercialization pathways, industry mentorship, and cross-border innovation partnerships facilitated through the Center.
Sunil Mangla thanked the New Mexico Partnership Team and also expressed his interest in leading an Industry Delegation to New Mexico to take the partnership further.
