PHD Chamber held talks with secretary power and chairman pspcl to felicitate industry of Punjab

Ludhiana: Today Gurmeet Singh Kular Chairman PHD Chamber (Ludhiana Zone) and President FICO (Federation of Industrial & Commercial Organization) along with Rupinder Singh Sachdeva (Mentor) and Karan Gilhotra (Chairman) PHD Chamber participated in a web conference with A Venu Prasad, Principal Secretary Power, and Chairman–Cum-Managing Director, Punjab State Transmission Corporation Limited (PSTCL) and Er. Baldev Singh Sran, Chairman–Cum-Managing Director, Punjab State Power Corporation Ltd (PSPCL) to redress problems faced by Industries during COVID 19 lockdown.
They took up certain issues and demands.  They demanded that the electricity unit rate should be fixed @ 5/- per unit for industrial as well as domestic consumers; the Infrastructure Cess & Excise Duty on Electricity bill should be abolished at least for the period of one year; fixed charges should be waived off at least for the period of next 6 months; a rebate of minimum 50% should be given on the Night tariff.
Further, they demanded that interest on Advance Consumption Deposit (ACD) should be released immediately to felicitate the industry in this hour of crisis, also the 50% ACD should be adjusted in Energy bills i.e. 10% in each month for 5 months. The same shall be revised a year later with the PSPCL by the industry. 
More than 50 members participated in the video conference
