Jalandhar, September 24, 2026: PG Department of Fashion Designing of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar organized an Industrial Visit for the students to Parmeshwari Silk Mills Ltd., Ludhiana.
The main aim of the visit was to promote practical knowledge of Fabric and apparel manufacturing units of the industry. Students of B.Sc Fashion Designing and M.Sc. Fashion Designing visited various units of the industry. The industry is an integrated Textile Industry catering domestic as well as international apparel needs. The information regarding the product and its manufacturing process from the stage of raw material to the stage of finished products was given to the students. The visit was a great learning experience for the students which inculcated practical insights about their curriculum.
President Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice President Vinod Dada, other members of the managing committee and Principal Dr. Pooja Prashar applauded the efforts of the department and their Head, Sunita Bhalla for organising an activity that bridged industry-academia gap and enhanced holistic development.
