PG Department of Commerce and Management of PCM S.D. College for Women holds Investiture Ceremony

Jalandhar, October 29, 2025: PG Department of Commerce and Management of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar organized the Investiture Ceremony of the Commerce Club for the session 2025–26 with great zeal and enthusiasm.

The event marked a significant occasion as it celebrated leadership, responsibility, and commitment among students. The Chief Guest of the function was Principal Dr. Pooja Prashar. She was accompanied by Alka Sharma, Head of the Department, and Shikha Puri, Dean, Commerce Club.

A total of 49 students were pinned badges on this occasion. Fourteen Office Bearers and thirty-five Executive Members of the Commerce Club were selected to shoulder various responsibilities for the session. Principal congratulated all the office bearers and executive members on their selection and lauded their enthusiasm for taking on leadership roles. In her address, she motivated the students to perform their duties with utmost commitment, dedication, and a sense of teamwork. She also encouraged them to actively participate in extracurricular activities with zeal and enthusiasm, emphasizing that such platforms nurture confidence and holistic growth.

The following students were selected as Office Bearers of the Commerce Club: Rajni of M.Com Semester III was made the President PG, Harman Walia of B.Com F.S. Semester V was the President UG, Dipanshi of M.Com Semester III was appointed as the Vice President PG, Lavanya of B.Com F.S. Semester V was appointed the Vice President UG, Sakshi of M.Com Semester III was made the Secretary PG, Sunakshi of B.Com F.S. Semester V was the Secretary UG, Gurleen of M.Com I was chosen as the Joint Secretary PG, Jasmine of B.Com Semester III was selected as the Joint Secretary UG, Esha of M.Com Semester III was made the Treasurer I, Aanchal of M.Com Semester I was made the Treasurer II, Simran of B.Com Semester V was appointed as the Creativity & Innovation Team In-Charge, Bhavika of B.Com F.S. Semester V was made the Cultural Activities Team In-Charge, Palak of M.Com Semester I was chosen as the Discipline Team In-Charge while Yashika of M.Com Semester I was made the Hospitality Team In-Charge.

President Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice President Vinod Dada, other members of the managing committee and Principal Dr Pooja Prashar appreciated the efforts of the Department for organizing such events that instill leadership qualities and strengthen the sense of responsibility among students. They also congratulated the newly appointed team members and encouraged them to uphold the legacy of excellence and teamwork that the institution stands for.
