PG Department of Commerce and Management of PCM S.D. College for Women organized FDP

Jalandhar, December 6, 2018: PG Department of Commerce & Management of PCM S.D.College for Women, Jalandhar organized a Faculty Development Programme on Teaching Pedagogy by Dr.Megha Mehta Sharma from Lovely Professional University (MBA in HRM and Doctorate in Talent Management Practices).

Dr.Megha the spokesperson initiated the programme by highlighting the importance of teaching as the most rewarding career. She also threw light on dynamic academia on leadership. She briefed the effectiveness of pedagogy that depends on the particular subject matter to be taught and understanding the diverse need of different learners. She acquainted the relevance of empathy to be inculcated in teaching profession. She also included the importance of upgradation of knowledge with the help of pragmatism. On the brief note she concluded with thought “Some people should be stirred" “Some people should be pumped” "Some people should be thumped”. She carried out an activity regarding pedagogy.

The faculty development programme was attended by the department of Commerce, IT, FD, Arts and humanities. The overall programme was inquisitive for the faculty numbers. The Head of Department of Commerce & Management Mrs. Alka Sharma appreciated the efforts of department towards organizing such programme.
