Permission of union government imperative before accepting foreign hospitality

Chandigarh, October 25, 2013: The Punjab Government has issued instructions for all the members of legislature or office bearer of political parties or judge or Government servant or employee of any cooperation or any other body owned or controlled by Government to seek prior permission of union Government before accepting foreign hospitality.

Disclosing this here today an official spokesperson of the general administration department of Punjab Government said that these instructions have been issued after the receipt of a letter from Home Department of Union Government. He said that the instructions have been issued as per section 6 of foreign contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA) 2010. He said that the applications in respect of Government servants and employees of cooperation any other body owned or controlled by Government would be accepted on the online system only. He said that to apply online and to see more information one could login to www.fcraonline.nic.in
