Period With Pride: Enactus PU, Versatile Group & CSC WICCI Lead Mytharche Workshops On Menstrual Health

Chandigarh, September 19, 2025: Enactus SSBUICET, Panjab University, in collaboration with Versatile Group, Ludhiana and Corporate Sustainability Council, Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (CSC WICCI), strengthenedtheir commitment to women’s health, empowerment and sustainability by hosting the 84thand 85thMytharche Series Menstrual Health & Hygiene Workshops in Ludhiana and Manimajra, shared Prof. Seema Kapoor, Faculty Advisor of Enactus and President of the Corporate Sustainability Council, WICCI Chandigarh.
On 17thSeptember, the workshop was held at Khalsa College for Girls, Ludhiana, led by Geetanjali Bakshi, CSR Coordinator of the Amodini Project and President of CSC WICCI, Punjab State. The session engaged over 250 students in meaningful discussions on breaking menstrual taboos, adopting healthier practices and embracing sustainable alternatives. As part of the initiative, 500 reusable cloth based sanitary pads were distributed, highlighting the need to shift towards eco-friendly menstrual products to reduce waste and support environmental conservation. Refreshments were also provided to the participants, shared Ms. Bakshi.
Extending the outreach, another workshop was held today at Indira Colony, Manimajra. The session was led by Ms. Rajni Lamba, CEO of The Reeds and Council Member of CSC WICCI, who stressed that menstrual health is not merely about hygiene but also about dignity and equality, calling for open conversations to normalise the subject. She underscored that menstrual health is a cornerstone of women’s well-being and that awareness campaigns and outreach initiatives play a crucial role in driving grassroots impact. The workshop also featured a sanitary pad donation drivealong with refreshments for attendees.
Prof. Seema Kapoor emphasised that addressing menstrual health is fundamental to achieving gender equality and fostering inclusive development. Through these initiatives, Enactus, Versatile Group and CSC WICCI reaffirm their commitment to raising awareness, promoting menstrual hygiene, advocating sustainable choices and empowering community-driven change, ensuring dignity in every cycle. This initiative, she added, reflects the transformative power of uniting academia, corporate responsibility and community involvement to advance sustainable social progress.
