People living in home isolation follow guidelines issued by Health Department: CMO

Dharamshala: Chief Medical Officer Dr Gurdarshan Gupta said that Corona positive people in the district are required to stay in isolation. Action will be taken against the violators of the orders, under the Disaster Management Act 2005. 
The CMO called on people to be more vigilant about the Corona epidemic.

He said that in the new strain of Corona, patients are not showing any symptoms of fever but minor symptoms of pneumonia are being reported in the X-ray’s.

“This means that the virus is having a direct effect on the lungs, due to which patients are facing severe respiratory problems due to viral pneumonia.  The new wave of Corona is more deadly than before and we should adopt proper health habits to defeat this epidemic”, said Dr Gupta.
 
He advised people to avoid going to the extra crowded areas and to quarantine immediately if you have symptoms like Covid or come in contact with a Covid patient.
 
He appealed the public to take precaution because the   corona infection is spreading at a fast pace.  He said that all people should use masks in public places, maintain social distance, wash their hands well frequently and contact the health department immediately if there is any type of fever, cough, cold etc.
