Peer learning workshop on inspiration, innovation and entrepreneurship at Home Science College

Chandigarh: Government Home Science College proved the aphorism of “Earn while you learn” yet again by organising a live peer learning workshop conducted by Ms. Nidhi Bimal, currently a student of M.Sc (Clothing & Textile). She is successfully running her start-up ‘The Knot Store’ and has done interiors with macramé of Hotel – The Reef, Sector -7, Chandigarh.

Nidhi talked about her journey of being an entrepreneur and how she explored her talent in knotting after learning this skill in B.Sc Fashion Designing 2nd year. She highlighted the importance of customised products rather than having already made products and urged the upcoming entrepreneurs to focus on social communication platforms and focus on making the customers happy with the quality.

Principal, Professor Sudha Katyal applauded Nidhi's efforts of innovative use of her skills and encouraged the other students to be inspired and follow suit while reiterating the message of the workshop "Earn while you Learn' and becoming Atma Nirbhar.
