Ludhiana, October 13, 2018: PCTE's Festaweek culminated on highly glamorous note, the college witnessed a huge participation from different schools and colleges including teams from PCTE. With the increasing participation every year, the competition became tougher. The overall trophy for Koshish 2018 was bagged by BCA 3B in Senior wing and BCA 2B in Junior wing.
The evening also saw unfolding of results of various group events where in Fashion Show in senior wing BJMC 2nd and 3rd year stood first followed by BBA 3rd year & B.Sc. BioTechnology 2nd and 3rd year. In fashion show of Junior wing BBA 1st year stood first followed by B.Sc. Fashion Design. In an event Indian Group Dance in Junior wing BCA 2nd year year bagged first position followed by BCA 2A . Third position was won by B.Com 1st year. In Indian Group dance of Senior wing ATHM 3rd year stood first followed by MCA 2nd & 3rd year & BBA 3rd year. In International Group Dance MBA 2A bagged first position. MBA 2C won second position and B.Pharma 4th year stood third in senior wing. In International group dance of junior wing B.Pharma 2nd year stood first followed by BCA 2A & BCA 1B.
The department of Fashion Design organized mega fashion show ‘seventh Avenue’ graduating show od B.Sc. Fashion Design students. The show highlighted the outstanding designs of students ranging from resort wear to evening gown. Miss Akansha Dhiman, Miss Asia Pacific was show stopper at the event.
The participants were seen recalling how much festaweek means to them. Inayat, a participant remarked saying, “I love the energy and the competition at the fest. The organizing committee and students felt nostalgic as they bid farewell to another awesome Festaweek.
The finale was a joyous evening witnessing live performance by World Renowned Punjabi Sufi singer Dr. Satinder Sartaaj. Dr. Sartaj opened the evening with the rendition of 'Sai ve sadddi fariyaad' and belted out popular Sufi songs, including 'Masoomiyat' and many others. The houseful gathering on this occasion enjoyed the performance and spreaded like a fire around the stage and made each and every one present dance on his tunes.
Appreciating the huge number of teams in the event, Dr. KNS Kang, Director General said, “The number of teams has increased from the last year’s which is definitely a positive sign. We focus on providing a wonderful platform to the students coming from different schools and colleges to showcase their talent in various events. While addressing the students He said that it isn’t about wining or loosing, it’s about participating and cherishing those everlasting memories.
