PCTE Hosts Media verse 2.0, Bringing Together Young Media Talent from 15 Schools

PCTE Group of Institutes hosted Mediaverse 2.0, its annual media festival, at Campus 2 on Monday. The event brought together more than 200 students from 15 schools across the region, giving them an opportunity to participate in media-related competitions and experience different aspects of the field.

Ludhiana, August 10, 2026: PCTE Group of Institutes hosted Mediaverse 2.0, its annual media festival, at Campus 2 on Monday. The event brought together more than 200 students from 15 schools across the region, giving them an opportunity to participate in media-related competitions and experience different aspects of the field.
Held with the theme “Unleash Your Media Potential,” the festival included competitions in Ad Pitching, Creative Writing, Anchoring, Radio Jockeying, Reel Making and Media Quiz. A photography and design exhibition by PCTE students was also organised as part of the event.
The competitions were judged and mentored by professionals from different areas of the media industry. Nandini Verma from The Styling Media was associated with the Ad Pitching competition, while Rampreet Kaur from PTC News guided the Anchoring competition. Adiraj Singh (RJ Gurri) was associated with the Radio Jockey competition, and Inderpreet Singh guided the Reel Making competition. Their interaction with the participants gave students an opportunity to understand the practical side of media work.
Manav Rachna International School emerged as the Overall Trophy winner. The school secured first position in the Media Quiz, with Police DAV Public School standing second and Atam Devki Niketan School securing third position. Manav Rachna International School also bagged second position in the Radio Jockey competition. BCM International School secured first position, while KVM School and GHG Academy shared third position.
The event saw active participation from students throughout the day, with teams competing across different activities and showcasing their skills in communication, writing, presentation, creativity and media production.
The visiting schools and participants appreciated the opportunity to take part in an event that offered exposure to different areas of media and communication beyond regular classroom learning. The interaction with media professionals also helped students understand the changing nature of the industry and the growing importance of digital content and communication skills.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Manish, who expressed gratitude to the participating schools, judges, mentors and students for making Mediaverse 2.0 a successful event.
Mediaverse 2.0 provided a platform for school students to compete, learn and explore their interest in media while highlighting PCTE’s focus on practical and industry-oriented learning.
