PCTE Group of Institutes is proud to announce that the Faculty of Hotel Management and Travel and Tourism Management has earned a world record for creating the largest wooden thali. The feat was officially recognized by the Limca Book of Records.

Ludhiana, March 6, 2023: PCTE Group of Institutes is proud to announce that the Faculty of Hotel Management and Travel and Tourism Management has earned a world record for creating the largest wooden thali. The feat was officially recognized by the Limca Book of Records.

The largest Indian traditional style wooden thali called Atulniya Bharat, which was 2.44m (8 feet) in diameter, had 270 authentic dishes prepared by the students of all 28 states and union territories of India. The thali displayed three add-on dishes including a variety of sweets, chutneys and shorba (soup) crafted by a team of students and faculty members.

Anirban Gupta, Dean, PCTE IHM, said that the achievement is a testament to the quality of education and the commitment to excellence that PCTE delicately works on wherein all the faculties at PCTE are committed towards providing students the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their chosen careers, and this world record is an outcome of the effectiveness.

Dr. KNS Kang, Director General, PCTE Group of Institutes, congratulated the team on their achievement and praised their hard work and dedication. He expressed his pride in the faculty of Hotel Management and Travel and Tourism for their commitment to excellence.
