Ludhiana, July 24, 2019: PCTE Group of Institutes organized training workshops on retail and information technology for the students of Satya Bharati School, where initially the students visited the campus with full zeal and excitement and explored the pharmacy labs, kitchens of hotel management, Workshops of Engineering, the famous restaurant on the campus, Indian Angeethi-managed by HM students, the journalism studio, bakery for culinary skills, language labs, etc.

There was a session on IT workshop in which Heena Kalra, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Computer Applications, discussed about various aspects of an effective power point presentation, she enlightened the students on how to make a presentation along with some tips and tricks to become an effective speaker, she also discussed about some soft skills. Manraj Singh Pattar, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Computer Applications, concluded the session with an interesting IT quiz in which the students participated with great enthusiasm. Simultaneously, Dr. Gautam Bansal, Director, Punjab College of Technical Education, along with Amitej Singh and Amit Sethi, assistant professors, Faculty of Business Management, conducted workshop on retail in which he explained students about Indian retail sector, inventory management, trending business environment, types of store retailers and a quiz on global and Indian retailer offline and online was conducted.

Harpreet Kang, Dean, International Affairs, interacted with the students and guided them about their career opportunities. She extensively talked about how the Indian government had initially started with simple traditional universities like Punjab or Delhi University and for the last two decades technical universities have been established in most states of the country. She said while people fail to differentiate between the traditional and the modern job oriented technical universities, actually only the Technical Universities can provide education in all job oriented modern technical courses like Engineering, Information Technology, Biotechnology, Medical Lab sciences, Pharmacy, Robotics, Automation, etc.

She talked about several new options and courses like AI, Robotics, Automation, and how electrical engineers will be big time required due to incoming of Electrical cars into the market..
