PCMS.D.College for Women, Jalandhar held an Interaction cum Induction Programme for the academic session 2024-25 for the First Year students in collaboration with IQAC and the Anti-Ragging Cell.

Jalandhar, August 6, 2025: PCMS.D.College for Women, Jalandhar held an Interaction cum Induction Programme for the academic session 2024-25 for the First Year students in collaboration with IQAC and the Anti-Ragging Cell.
The overarching intent was to familiarize them with the new ambience of the institution and its rich heritage as to how it has established a benchmark in the field of academics and Skill Based Learning.
Principal Dr Pooja Prashar addressed the students to engender in them a homely vibe where they not only learn but also are able to establish a good rapport with their teachers. She laid principal emphasis on the noble virtues like discipline, commitment and dedication to lead a student life, based on which a student can rise and shine like a phoenix. Following these tenets, each student can prove their mettle in the most extraordinary ways.
IQAC Incharge Captain Priya Mahajan, gave the institution’s tour de force to the fresher students. The programme also featured introductions to the college’s key support systems including the Library, NSS, Sports, Cultural Committees, LMS and Placement Cell, ensuring that the students are well-informed about the diverse opportunities available for their overall growth. Faculty members from various departments interacted warmly with the freshers, giving them a glimpse into the dynamic academic environment that fosters innovation, creativity, and excellence. The students were also acquainted with the core values and vision of the institution — to nurture women as empowered, independent thinkers and contributors to society. The vibrant atmosphere of the induction set a spirited tone for the new academic journey, leaving the students both inspired and well-oriented.
President Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice President Vinod Dada, other members of the managing committee and Principal Dr Pooja Prashar applauded the endeavours of the faculty members in organising the event.
