Jalandhar, August 14, 2025: The Cultural Enlightenment Cell, in collaboration with the NSS and NCC units of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar, organised a series of patriotic and awareness activities under the “Har Ghar Tiranga – Har Ghar Swachhta Bharat” campaign, as part of the Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect program. The initiatives aimed to inspire patriotism, promote cleanliness, and encourage civic responsibility among students.
The program began with a Pledge Ceremony, where students and faculty reaffirmed their commitment to uphold national unity and maintain cleanliness in their surroundings. This was followed by a vibrant Rangoli Competition, supported by the Fine Arts Department, featuring intricate designs inspired by the campaign’s theme. A Poster Making Competition, also guided by the Fine Arts Department, allowed students to creatively convey messages of patriotism and Swachhta (cleanliness).
Under the guidance of Associate NCC Officer Capt. Priya Mahajan, the NCC Unit organised a spirited awareness rally. Carrying placards with impactful slogans on national pride and hygiene, cadets marched through the local community, engaging with residents and motivating them to participate in both the nation’s cleanliness drive and the celebration of the national flag. The rally underscored that true patriotism lies not only in saluting the flag but also in contributing to a clean, healthy, and progressive India.
President Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice President Vinod Dada, other Managing Committee members, and Principal Dr. Pooja Prashar appreciated the organisers for successfully blending creativity, awareness, and national service under the Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect initiative.
