PCM S.D. College for Women NCC Cadets Pay Stirring Tribute to Martyrs on Shaheedi Diwas
The NCC cadets of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar, paid rich tributes to Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, and Rajguru on the occasion of Shaheedi Diwas, commemorating their supreme sacrifices for the nation.
Jalandhar, March 23, 2026: The NCC cadets of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar, paid rich tributes to Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, and Rajguru on the occasion of Shaheedi Diwas, commemorating their supreme sacrifices for the nation.
Under the dynamic leadership of Colonel R. S. Lehal, Commanding Officer of 2 Punjab Girls Battalion, and the able guidance of Principal Dr. Pooja Prashar, the cadets organized a rally from the college campus to Bhagat Singh Chowk. The rally witnessed enthusiastic participation as cadets carried placards displaying powerful slogans highlighting patriotism, national unity, and the spirit of sacrifice.
On reaching the chowk, the cadets conducted a cleanliness drive and respectfully cleaned the statue of the martyrs along with the surrounding area. The site was further beautified with colourful rangoli designs, creating a solemn and inspiring atmosphere. The cadets also offered floral tributes to the martyrs, remembering the courage and selfless sacrifice of the young revolutionaries who laid down their lives for the freedom of the nation.
Through this initiative, the cadets conveyed a strong message to society that the freedom enjoyed today has been achieved through the immense sacrifices of brave freedom fighters. On this occasion, Sh. Surinder Saini, Secretary of Jalandhar Welfare Society, emphasized the responsibility of the younger generation to honour these sacrifices by upholding the values of patriotism, integrity, and national service.
President Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice President Vinod Dada, other members of the Managing Committee and the worthy Principal Dr. Pooja Prashar appreciated the efforts of Associate NCC Officer Captain Priya Mahajan for instilling patriotic fervour among the cadets and motivating them to actively participate in such meaningful initiatives. The Principal also lauded the dedication and discipline of the NCC cadets for successfully conveying a powerful message of gratitude and national pride, while urging students to remain committed to the nation’s progress and uphold the legacy of the martyrs.
