PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar Organizes Poster Making Competition on “Say No to Drugs – Say Yes to Life”
PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar, under the aegis of the Red Cross Society, organized a “Poster Making Competition” on the significant theme “Say No to Drugs – Say Yes to Life.” The primary objective of the activity was to create awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug abuse, how drugs alter brain functioning, and how this can lead to addiction and other serious physical, mental, and social problems. The event also emphasized the importance of preventive measures and encouraged students to adopt a healthy and drug-free lifestyle.
Jalandhar, February 12, 2026: PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar, under the aegis of the Red Cross Society, organized a “Poster Making Competition” on the significant theme “Say No to Drugs – Say Yes to Life.” The primary objective of the activity was to create awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug abuse, how drugs alter brain functioning, and how this can lead to addiction and other serious physical, mental, and social problems. The event also emphasized the importance of preventive measures and encouraged students to adopt a healthy and drug-free lifestyle.
A total of 30 students participated enthusiastically in the competition. The participants displayed remarkable creativity and artistic talent through their posters, conveying strong and meaningful messages against drug abuse. The artwork vividly illustrated the devastating consequences of addiction and promoted the value of choosing life, health, and positivity over substance abuse.
The activity was conducted under the guidance of Shalini Bibra, incharge of the Red Cross Society. Rupinder and Dolly also accompanied and motivated the students throughout the event. Their constant support and encouragement contributed significantly to the success of the program.
