PCM S.D. College for Women holds “Career Pe Charcha”

Jalandhar, April 25, 2022: The Placement Cell of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar held "Career Pe Charcha" in association with  Career Launcher, Jalandhar. Rajvir Singh Chohan, Centre Head, Career Launcher Jalandhar was the resource person  of the day. He  was accompanied by Aditya, Centre Manager, Career Launcher, Jalandhar. 

While addressing the students, the resource person explained the  importance of career and career goals in one's life. Then he elaborated on the classification of various careers according to the academic aptitude of the learner. He explained in detail the process and requirements of career options like UPSC, MBA etc. He also guided the students  about offbeat career options like designing, sports, etc. Not only this, he  also mentioned the importance of reading newspapers and good books for getting successful in life and staying away from useless information that is available on internet, which leads to wastage of precious learning hours. He gave numerous examples of young achievers from various fields and encouraged the students for doing the hard work by telling their inspirational stories. 

The lecture was very useful and informative. Final year students of B. Com, BCA, BSc Non-Medical, BSc FD and B.A.B.Ed. attended the seminar. A small quiz was also held inwhich students participated with great zeal.

The event was also witnessed by the  members of the Placement Cell along with the  Incharge, Renu Tandon.

The members of the Managing Committee and the Principal Dr. Pooja Prashar appreciated the efforts of the Placement Cell for successfully organizing a event. She also encouraged the students to participate actively and vigorously in such training programs being planned by the college from time to time for their better placement in the job market.
