PCM S.D. College for Women Establishes ‘Veer Baal Memorial Corner’

Jalandhar, December 28, 2025: PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar, through its Youth Club, in collaboration with ‘Aakhri Umeed’ NGO, Jalandhar, established a ‘Veer Baal Memorial Corner’ to commemorate the martyrdom day of the four Sahibzadas.
This noble initiative was undertaken to honour the supreme sacrifice, courage, and unwavering faith of the Sahibzadas, whose legacy continues to inspire generations.
To pay homage, President, ‘Aakhri Umeed’ NGO, S. Jatinder Pal Singh Ji, along with faculty members and students of the college, planted a variety of saplings in the newly inaugurated memorial corner within the college premises as well as in the collegiate school.
The plantation drive symbolised life, hope, and continuity of values upheld by the Sahibzadas.
While addressing the students, Jatinder Pal Singh highlighted the historical significance and moral grandeur of the martyrdom of the Sahibzadas. He motivated the students to become responsible citizens committed to cleanliness, environmental conservation, and the preservation of national, religious, and humanitarian values. Emphasising kindness, humility, and selfless service, he encouraged the youth to uphold the spirit of universal brotherhood, secularism, and compassion for the needy.
On this solemn occasion, President Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice President Vinod Dada, along with other respected members of the managing committee and Principal Dr Pooja Prashar, paid heartfelt tributes to the Sahibzadas. They lauded the Youth Club for initiating such a meaningful and value-driven endeavour, consolidating the institution’s commitment to moral education, social responsibility, and environmental consciousness.
