PCM S.D. College Celebrates Promotion of ANO Priya Mahajan to the Rank of Major in NCC

Jalandhar, June 4, 2026: PCM S.D. College proudly celebrates a moment of great honor and achievement as its Associate NCC Officer (ANO), Priya Mahajan, has been promoted to the rank of Major in the National Cadet Corps (NCC).

The promotion was formally conferred during a prestigious felicitation ceremony organized by the 2 Punjab Girls Battalion on June 4, 2026. On the occasion, Colonel R. S. Lehel, Commanding Officer, adorned ANO Priya Mahajan with the rank of Major in recognition of her exemplary service, dedication, and outstanding contributions to the NCC. On this eve  S M Banwari Lal Meena,GCIAnju Sharma and Mr.Ravinder Singh Bhatia we’re also present

Major Priya Mahajan earned this distinction after successfully completing her Second Refresher Course at the Officers Training Academy (OTA), Gwalior, held from July 11 to July 30, 2024. Demonstrating exceptional competence and leadership, she outperformed 124 NCC Officers from across the country and was adjudged the Best ANO, securing First Position in the Order of Merit. In recognition of her remarkable achievement, she was awarded a Gold Medal and a Certificate of Excellence.

Adding further distinction to her accomplishments, Major Priya Mahajan received three additional Certificates of Excellence in Commandant Yoga IP, Lecture IP, and Map Reading Skills. She also displayed outstanding leadership by leading her team to secure First Position in the Exercise Darshan and Flag Area Competition during Exercise Shakti.

This achievement is yet another milestone in her illustrious NCC career. Earlier, she had topped the Pre-Commission Course SW-77 in 2006, earning the prestigious Director General’s Plaque of Honour. Her consistent record of excellence reflects her unwavering commitment, discipline, leadership, and dedication to the noble ideals of the NCC.

President Naresh Bhudia, Senior Vice President Vinod Dada, the other honourable members of the College Managing Committee, and the worthy Principal Dr. Pooja Prashar congratulated Major Priya Mahajan on this remarkable achievement. They appreciated her outstanding contribution to NCC and lauded her for bringing immense pride and laurels to PCM S.D. College.
