Ludhiana, July, 16, 2022: Indian Women Cricket Team skipper Harmanpreet Kaur called on Gulzarinder Singh Chahal, President, PCA today before leaving for XXII Commonwealth Games. 

Gulzarinder presented the Memento and extended warm wishes to Indian Women Team Captain Harmanpreet & her Squad for winning the Gold Medal in the upcoming Commonwealth Games Tournament.

Gulzarinder Singh Chahal, President, PCA also announced that PCA will organize School/College Women Cricket League in the State of Punjab. He further informed that the Cricket talent, for both boys and girls, in every nook & corner of the state will be unearthed and platform will be provided to all to showcase their talent.

Gulzarinder shared that PCA will provide infrastructure and opportunities to promote the Game of Cricket in Women players in the State of Punjab.

He further hoped that with the advent of Women School/College Cricket, a new era of the expotential growth in Women Cricket will happen and will open unseen avenues for young girls to harness their potential. The sports-oriented lifestyle will lead towards healthy Punjab. Promotion of sports among the youth of Punjab in general also will lead to a healthy and drug free Punjab. 

Harmanpreet Kaur committed to give her very best for this noble cause of the President & PCA and assured all support and help in this regard.

The President hoped that with this new endeavour a chance will be provided to all girls in the Villages & Cities of Punjab to be next ‘Harman of India’.

The President again wished Harmanpreet Kaur to come back with gold medal for India from Commonwealth Games to be held in Birmingham.
