PBEF Ludhiana hands over 4000 face masks to MC Commissioner 

Ludhiana: Punjab Bank Employees’ Federation, Ludhiana unit (PBEF Ludhiana) under the leadership of Com. Naresh Gaur, Secretary on Monday handed over 4000 face masks to Commissioner Municipal Corporation Ludhiana Kanwalpreet Brar at MC Office Zone D Ludhiana. Nodal Officer Health Department, MCL Ashwani Sahota was also present on this occassion.

On this occasion, Com. Naresh Gaur said that in the fight against the COVID-19, where every segment and sector is contributing something towards the welfare of the society and for the people in need. All India Bank Employees’ Association (AIBEA) the largest bank employee’s union in India, which is also considered as one of the largest social welfare organizations in the country, serving the nation from last 75 years, has never left any opportunity in serving the human kind in the hard times. And once again in this situation AIBEA is playing its part by providing essential services as well as donating essential goods to the needy in various parts of the country.

He said, that this year AIBEA is also celebrating its Platinum Jubilee Year (20th April, 2020) and every year social identification programmes are being held all over the country to commemorate the foundation day and PBEF Ludhiana is always on the forefront of this.  This year, where the whole world is in a mode of war against the COVID-19, no better tribute can be paid than doing something for the society and helping the needy.

Marking this as a tribute on the occasion of foundation day of AIBEA and fulfilling their social responsibility Punjab Bank Employees’ Federation Ludhiana unit donated 4000 face masks and handed it over to Commissioner Municipal Corporation Ludhiana Kanwalpreet Brar (IAS) for the use of Sanitary Workers who are performing their duties in this hard and challenging situation risking their own lives to provide a neat and clean environment for the citizens. 

On this occasion Com. Pawan Thakur, Com. Rajesh Verma, Com. Harwinder Singh, Com. Jarnail Singh, Com. Narkesar Rai, Com. Yuvraj Maria, Com. Rajwinder Singh, Com. Balwant Rai, Com. Parveen Aggarwal, Com. Ashok Kumar, Com. Mohit Bhandari, Com. Baldev Singh, were also present.
