Today general body meeting of PAU Retirees Welfare Association  under the presidentship of Jila Ram Bansal was held in Students home. About 180 retirees were present including 30 ladies retirees.

Ludhiana, February 10, 2023: Today general body meeting of PAU Retirees Welfare Association  under the presidentship of Jila Ram Bansal was held in Students home. About 180 retirees were present including 30 ladies retirees. Jasbir Singh, Secretary conducted the meeting nicely.

Important issues of retirees such as payment of Leave Travel Allowance for January 22 and July 22 has been made to the retirees. This action was highly appreciated by all the retirees. Besides some other issues, the most important issue of pending cases of payment to the claimants was discussed.  If this case of Senior/Junior  is not settled, we will resort to agitation and also approach the court, the responsibility of which will be of PAU authorities/Audit.    

A short Seminar on eyes diseases and remedies was organised under the guidance of Dr Sumit Gupta of ASG hospital, Sarabha Nagar. Dr. Sumit assured retirees that their hospital will provide them with comprehensive diagnosis, treatment and surgical services through cutting edge technology at concessional rates. Free coupons for check-up for whole family members were distributed, with best services to retirees.
      
The following prominent were  present in the meeting were as under: SK Goswami, BSLamba, Amarjit Singh, MR Passi, Jaswant Singh, Anup Singh, Charanjit Singh Grewal, Labh Singh, Inderjit Singh, Birbal,  Kanwaljit Singh, Nitya Nand, Kamlesh Chander, Kailash Chander, N K Khana, K C Bhargav, Mohan Singh, Jagga Singh, Chander Shekhar, Anil Sabharwal.  VK Dhir, Prem Nath, Madan Singh, Sham Singh, Kishore Lal, Tarlok Singh, Gurdial Singh also came from outstation to attend the meeting. Besides, Sheela Matharu, Parveen Manik, Sudarshan Bajaj, Darshna Rani, Hardish Kaur and other 25 ladies attended the meeting.        

In the last, Bansal thanked the retirees for their active participation.
