PAU organises lecture on research instruments used in social sciences
The Department of Extension Education, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), organized a guest lecture on “Various Research Instruments Used in Social Sciences” which was delivered by Dr SS Gill, Former Director of Extension Education, and attended by the students and faculty of the department.

Ludhiana, July 21, 2023: The Department of Extension Education, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), organized a guest lecture on “Various Research Instruments Used in Social Sciences” which was delivered by Dr SS Gill, Former Director of Extension Education, and attended by the students and faculty of the department.
Dr Gill elaborated the concept of construction and validation of research instruments commonly used for testing the knowledge of farmers regarding various agricultural technologies. He also discussed the attitude scales like Likert and Thurstons’ equal appearing interval scale. He answered the questions raised by the students and discussed them thoroughly. The entire session came out to be very fruitful and enlightening for the students and faculty.
Welcoming the guest speaker, Dr Kuldeep Singh, Head of the department, encouraged the students to derive as much knowledge from Dr Gill’s vast experience as they can.
Later, Dr Lopamudra Mohapatra, Extension Scientist, proposed a vote of thanks and assured the students that more such lectures will be organized for them in future.
