PAU new entrance gates at Ludhiana.

Majority of architects are not happy with planning, designing, size of new entrance gate of famous Punjab Agricultural University at Ferozepur road, Ludhiana as first of all one single wide architectural gateway for in & out was enough & impressive instead of two narrow passages independently meant for in/out.
Although road width at back & front is very good so either two gates/arches could have been much wider or single wide gate for in/out was enough.
Keeping the grand land & buildings of PAU in mind these two gates are very congested visually where our not only VIPs but even our progressive farmers come in large numbers always with their tractor/trollies sometimes during big KISAN MELAS.
Keeping the great agricultural background of Punjab as well as PAU/Ludhiana one large entrance gate in length, breadth & depth could have been an excellent choice.
Moreover design and size of three visible columns is very heavy as compared to usuable width & height.
These kind of architectural marvels meant for city must be designed & approved by best architects in the region.
Moreover we had helipad inside where VVIPs of India keep on landing as we are in a metro without even small, proper, fully working domestic airport.
