PAU holds session on placement and mental wellness

Ludhiana, July 4, 2023: The University Counselling and Placement Guidance Cell (UCPGC), Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), organized a session on “Placement and Mental Wellness” for the students of College of Agriculture under the aegis of Directorate of Students’ Welfare, PAU. The primary focus of this session was on interacting with the students and educating them about the importance of making themselves employable and ready for final job placements.

During the session, Dr Vandana Kanwar, Assistant Professor, delivered a talk on mental wellness and shared some common reasons of stress among the students. She also highlighted some common ways of taking care of mental wellbeing for the students.

Dr Khushdeep Dharni, Associate Director, UCPGC, briefed the students about the various activities of the placement cell. Giving insights into the demand of the industry, Dr Dharni asked the students to develop diversified set of skills so that they stand out in the competition and are easily placed with good packages. He particularly emphasized on effective resume writing and developing relevant skills to face job interviews.

Dr Nirmal Singh Jaura, Director Students’ Welfare, asked the students to register themselves with the university placement cell so that special development activities can be planned for the students.
