PAU BIOTECHNOLOGY ALUMNUS ACHIEVES MILESTONE AS LIEUTENANT IN THE INDIAN ARMY

Ludhiana, September 28, 2023: Khwab Sharma, an alumnus of the School of Agricultural Biotechnology, PAU, has achieved a significant milestone by securing a commission as a Lieutenant in the prestigious Indian Army.

Khwab Sharma, a graduate of B. Tech. Biotechnology (2018-2022 batch) from PAU has demonstrated exceptional dedication, perseverance, and unwavering commitment to serving the nation, earning him this esteemed position. His journey to this achievement began with success in the CDSE examination, followed by his outstanding performance at the Service Selection Board, where he was selected as an officer for the Indian Army (SSC TECH-61). His outstanding achievement included securing the All India Rank 4 in the merit list, and he is set to commence an 11-month training programme at the Officer's Training Academy, Chennai, as part of the October course. Upon completing this rigorous training, he will be bestowed with the rank of Lieutenant during the 'Passing out Parade (POP)' ceremony.

Khwab Sharma's selection process was demanding, and his exceptional qualities shone through as he excelled in stringent physical and mental tests, interviews, and examinations conducted by the Indian Army Selection Board. His physical fitness, leadership qualities, and academic excellence were pivotal in his selection as a Lieutenant.

His achievement inspires the PAU community and the entire nation, highlighting the potential and capabilities of students from diverse educational backgrounds in serving the country through the armed forces.
