Identity Card recovered by the police from the pocket of Devinder Singh Mand.
His car falls into Sidhwan Canal all of a sudden
Ludhiana, December 29, 2013: PAU Assistant Professor (Agronomy) Devinder Singh Mand has died in a road accident here on Sunday evening.
According to available information, he was on his way to Rajgarh Estate while driving a car at around 5 pm on Sunday. All of a sudden his car fell into the canal. He was alone in the car.
A police party arrived on the spot on receiving the information. He was fished out of the canal with the help of divers and taken to a nearby private hospital. But, the he was declared brought dead at the hospital.
The reasons for the mishap are still unknown.
The deceased was posted at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Fatehgarh Sahib and he was a resident of Professor Colony, Near Aggar Nagar here.
According to Identity Card recovered by the police from the pocket of the deceased, the latter was born on December 11, 1978.
