Patil launches SC/ST and OBC Website

Chandigarh, June 28, 2014: Punjab Governor and Administrator UT Chandigarh, Shivraj V.Patil, launched a website www.scstscholarships.com developed by the, Aryans Group of colleges, Chandigarh today at Punjab Raj Bhawan Chandigarh.
After launching the website, the Administrator said that this is a good initiative taken by Aryans to make the SC/ST/OBC students aware about various Government Sponsored Scholarship Schemes available to them. He added that this is need of the hour to educate these students about their rights so that they may get the best use out of it.
Patil, asked Dr. Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of colleges, that initiative to provided one platform for these students where they can get each and every information is good and useful, but many SC/ST/OBC students particularly of rural areas could not take advantage of this as they have no facilities of Internet in rural areas. In order to enable them to able to avail the benefits of the scholarships being given to them by Central and State Government, You should give advertisements in Print Media to generate more awareness.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges said, that the main objective behind launching the website is to make the students know about their rights. Due to lack of understanding about the schemes many students fail to avail the benefits of these scholarships."
Prominent amongst others present on the occasion included, MP Singh, Principal Secretary to Governor.
