Mohali, January 30, 2026: In a defining moment for advanced healthcare in India, Park Grecian Hospital on Friday unveiled North India’s first-ever fully integrated AI-powered “ROBO-Suite”, setting a new national benchmark in precision-driven robotic surgery. The ROBO Suite inaugurated by the Health Minister of Punjab, Dr. Balbir Singh, marking the first time such a comprehensive robotic surgical ecosystem has been introduced in North India.
Speaking on the occasion Dr Bhanu Saluja Director Orthopedics and Robotic Surgery Park Grecian Hospital, Mohali said that “This ROBO-Suite at Park Hospital is a next-generation surgical platform that uniquely integrates 3 different Techniques of Robo Arm, Robo Eye, and Robo 3D technologies into a single AI-augmented ecosystem. Unlike conventional robotic setups, this all-in-one ROBO-Suite enables real-time 3D anatomical mapping, AI-assisted surgical planning, and surgeon-controlled robotic precision — delivering faster, safer, and more predictable outcomes.
The launch was graced by the Health Minister of Punjab, Dr. Balbir Singh, whose dynamic leadership has significantly strengthened the state’s healthcare system. Since assuming office in January 2023, Dr Balbir Singh has focused on upgrading public health infrastructure, including initiatives for 12 new medical colleges and hiring of over 300 Specialist Doctors to strengthen Specialty services in all Govt Hospitals. Speaking on this occasion Dr. Balbir Singh shared that Punjab Govt under leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhagwant Singh Mann, has recently rolled out Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna (MMSY), which will be providing free treatment up to ₹10 lakh per family, to over 3 Crore residents of Punjab covering over 2000 Treatment packages.
Sharing his experience Dr Bhanu Pratap Saluja said that about 10-15 yrs back Knee Replacement Surgery was a Very Major Surgery and Patient use to stay for 3-4 Weeks in Hospital for entire treatment. But the recent advancement in Technology with Robotic Surgery, these days we are doing ROBOTIC Knee replacement Surgery powered by 3 D Augmented Reality AR and Artificial in which entire Surgery is Performed in 12-15 Mins. There is No Requirement of Blood Transfusion, No Sutures, No Drains, Surgery is performed from Small Cuts (3.5-4 Inches) and patient is made to walk 4 hours after the Surgery. Patient is allowed to Climb Stairs from Next Day and Full recovery happens within 7-10 days.
Dr Bhanu Saluja also shared that “The number of knee replacement surgery is increasing day by day in India. If we look at the Statics, every year more than 2.5 million people undergo this procedure in India.
