Rohtak, November 3, 2025: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta said that the paperless property registration system has now been launched in all tehsils of Rohtak district. The first paperless registry in the district was successfully carried out today at Meham Tehsil.
He highlighted that Haryana is the first state in the country to implement the paperless registration system. The initiative was formally launched by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on 29th September from Babain Tehsil.
Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta stated that with this reform, the process of land and property registration in Rohtak has become completely digital. This will free citizens from the hassle of paperwork and bring greater transparency and accountability to the system by curbing corruption.
He further informed that, as per the decision of the State Government, the process of auto-mutation will also begin from 25th November. Under this new system, once the registration is completed, the buyer’s name will automatically be updated in the land records, eliminating the need for any separate application or manual process.
DC Sachin Gupta added that citizens will no longer need to visit government offices repeatedly for registry-related work. He said that the new paperless and transparent system will simplify the process, save time, and ensure integrity in land transactions.
He emphasized that the government’s broader goal is to ensure equal participation in development, transparency in governance, and sensitivity in administration.
Under the paperless registration process, citizens will only need to visit the tehsil once for biometric verification (photograph and signature). After verification, officials will digitally examine and approve documents, completing the registry without any physical paperwork.
