Panjab University’s Centre for Public Health Reaches Out with Impactful Community Initiative
Centre for Public Health, Panjab University today organised a community outreach program under the mentorship of Chairperson Dr. Manoj Kumar, in collaboration with Govt. Model High School, Sector 25 in the presence of faculty members Dr. Paravreet Kaur and Ms. Poonam Sharma.
Chandigarh, October 30, 2025: Centre for Public Health, Panjab University today organised a community outreach program under the mentorship of Chairperson Dr. Manoj Kumar, in collaboration with Govt. Model High School, Sector 25 in the presence of faculty members Dr. Paravreet Kaur and Ms. Poonam Sharma.
Head of the school Rajinder Singh along with the school faculty members also graced the event. Harleen Kaur and Ms. Harleen Kaur Sandhu, public health students, spearheaded an awareness session titled “Importance of Mental Health” and “Stress and Motivation” respectively.
During the program, they discussed the significance of mental health and empowered students to understand that nurturing their mental health is key to achieving overall well-being.
The session on stress and motivation guided students on how to cope up with stress and strategies to overcome stress and improve motivation. Participants left the session feeling empowered and equipped with knowledge and skills. Teachers and students expressed their appreciation, noting that the program provided much-need guidance and motivation.
