Panjab University, UILS Organises Flip the Coin Debate Competition Under Diva Dynamics 3.0
Panjab University's (PU) University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS) organised the Flip the Coin Debate Competition as part of the ongoing Diva Dynamics 3.0 celebrations under Centre for Women Development (CWD).

Chandigarh, March 11, 2026: Panjab University's (PU) University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS) organised the Flip the Coin Debate Competition as part of the ongoing Diva Dynamics 3.0 celebrations under Centre for Women Development (CWD).
The competition brought together young debaters from various colleges and universities and 30 teams participated in the competition. Conducted in a turncoat format, participants were required to argue both for and against the motion, often switching their stance mid-speech at the sound of a buzzer.
The competition was judged in the preliminary round by Prof. Vibhuti Nakta, Assistant Professor, Department of Laws, and Dr. Sunny Sharma, Assistant Professor, UILS. The final round was adjudged by Praveen Kumar, Deputy Advocate General, Haryana, and Pragya Singh, IRS, Executive Director, Footwear Design and Development Institute, Chandigarh. The judges appreciated the participants for their clarity of arguments, articulation and ability to engage with complex issues from multiple perspectives.
After competitive rounds of debate, Maitreyee, Gurleen and Nipun emerged as winners.
The event was organised under the guidance of Prof. Shruti Bedi, Director, UILS, and Prof. Anupam Bahri, Faculty Coordinator, CWD, with coordination by Rabia, Sugandha and Avneet. The student organising team included Ruhani (President), Maan Kaur (Convenor), Harleen Chaudhary and Varsha Sharma (Co-Convenors), and Jhanvi (Advisory Member) along with Event Heads Lakshay Rajora, Parneet Kaur and Aakankshi Nagpal.
