Chandigarh, May 5, 2025: Panjab University, Chandigarh, through its DST-sponsored Technology Enabling Centre (TEC), in collaboration with the PU Alumni Affairs Office, is organising a Startup Demo Day at FITT, R&I Park, IIT Delhi, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM on 12th May. In order to effectively reach out to investors based in the National Capital Region (NCR), the event is being organised at IIT Delhi.
Panjab University has specifically invited investors from Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, and Faridabad to explore unique startup investment opportunities (against equity) and engage with emerging ventures poised for growth.
This exclusive event aims to provide a platform for high-potential, deep-tech startups to pitch their ventures to experienced investors from Delhi and the NCR and explore equity-based investment opportunities.
Over the past six months, these startups have received dedicated mentorship under TEC, Panjab University, and are now well-prepared to showcase their innovations to the investor community. This initiative is part of the University’s ongoing commitment to nurturing innovation, entrepreneurship, and research-driven commercialisation through sustained institutional support.
The Alumni Affairs Office of Panjab University has played a key role in enabling this effort, helping bring together a strong network of alumni and investment professionals. Among those who have confirmed their participation as investors are three distinguished alumni of the University—Anirudh Saraswat, Founder of a Renewable Energy Company; Tarun Jain, Managing Director, Dario Health; and Abhishek Kakkar of Indian Angel Network (IAN).
This Demo Day is an important step in bridging the gap between academic innovation and industry investment.
