Panjab University to Conduct B.Ed Entrance Test on July 12, 2026 for 2026–28 Admissions
Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh, is conducting B.Ed Entrance Test on 12 July 2026 for the centralised admission process for the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) course for the academic session 2026–28, having been authorised by the Department of Higher Education, UT Chandigarh.
Chandigarh, June 9, 2026: Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh, is conducting B.Ed Entrance Test on 12 July 2026 for the centralised admission process for the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) course for the academic session 2026–28, having been authorised by the Department of Higher Education, UT Chandigarh.
According to a press release issued by Panjab University here on Tuesday, as many as 250 seats will be available in various Colleges of Education located in Chandigarh and affiliated with Panjab University. Admissions will be based on merit determined through the Common Entrance Test (CET B.Ed. – 2026).
Prof. Anuradha Sharma, Coordinator of the PU Admission Committee for B.Ed., informed that the prospectus and online application form will be available on the official portal chandigarhbed.puchd.ac.in starting June 10, 2026. The candidates must submit their details on the website by June 30, 2026 to generate their login credentials.
The minimum qualification of this B.Ed. Course is graduation with 50 percent marks. No separate advertisements will be issued in newspapers.
Admissions will be conducted through centralised physical counselling based on CET merit. The first round of counselling will be held in the first week of August 2026. All updates regarding admission criteria, the scheme of examination (CET), counselling schedule, and reservation policy will be available exclusively on the official website. Candidates have been advised to check the website regularly for updates, read the prospectus (information brochure) carefully before applying, and follow all instructions strictly. To avoid last-minute delays, candidates are requested to apply well in advance.
The centralised B.Ed. admission process is aimed to ensure transparency, efficiency, and ease of access for aspiring candidates seeking to pursue teaching as a profession.
