Panjab University Students Celebrate Democracy with Creative Rangoli Event Promoting Voting Awareness
The Department of Library and Information Science, Panjab University, Chandigarh, organised a rangoli-making event on the themes “No Voter to Be Left Behind,” “Nothing Like Voting, I Vote for Sure,” and “Greater Participation for a Stronger Democracy.”

Chandigarh December 2, 2025: The Department of Library and Information Science, Panjab University, Chandigarh, organised a rangoli-making event on the themes “No Voter to Be Left Behind,” “Nothing Like Voting, I Vote for Sure,” and “Greater Participation for a Stronger Democracy.”
The chairperson of the department, Prof Rupak Chakravarty, addressed and encouraged the students. Students from both the B.Lib.I.Sc. and M.Lib.I.Sc. programmes enthusiastically participated and showcased their creativity through vibrant and thoughtful rangoli designs.
The event aimed to promote awareness about the importance of voting and to encourage responsible civic engagement among students. The faculty members and research scholars of the department also participated in the event.
