Panjab University Revives Two-Year LL.M. (Evening) Programme from 2025–26
Panjab University, Chandigarh has announced the revival of its Two-Year LL.M. (Evening) Programme at the Department of Laws from the academic session 2025–26. The course is being reintroduced as a self-financed programme with an intake capacity of 42, along with 4 seats for NRIs and 10 for Foreign Nationals.

Chandigarh, August 1, 2025: Panjab University, Chandigarh has announced the revival of its Two-Year LL.M. (Evening) Programme at the Department of Laws from the academic session 2025–26. The course is being reintroduced as a self-financed programme with an intake capacity of 42, along with 4 seats for NRIs and 10 for Foreign Nationals.
Prof. (Dr.) Vandana Arora, Chairperson, Department of Laws, informed that the Applications for admission will be accepted from August 1 to August 11, 2025 (up to 12:30 PM), and admission will be based on the LL.M. Entrance Test conducted by Panjab University on June 17, 2025.
The LL.M. (Evening) programme is tailored for working professionals, judicial officers, academicians, and others who wish to pursue advanced legal education but are unable to attend regular day-time classes. The classes will be conducted during evening hours without affecting the department’s existing full-time academic schedule.
The programme reflects the Department’s commitment to inclusive and flexible legal education aligned with evolving professional needs. She noted that the course will utilise the existing faculty and infrastructure of the department.
The Chairperson expressed gratitude to the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Renu Vig, Dean of University Instruction, Prof. Yojna Rawat, the Board of Studies, and other university authorities for their support in facilitating the revival of this course, which was last offered during the academic session 2013–14.
