Panjab University organized Punjab Suba Diwas

Chandigarh, November 22, 2022: The Department of Statistics, Panjab University, Chandigarh organized the event titled, "Punjab Suba Diwas". All the faculty members, research scholars, students and non-teaching staff of the department attended the event. It was hosted by Jasmeen Sharma and Harmeet Kaur. To elaborate, the event was started formally by Shabad recitation by Harkirat Kaur and Harmeet Kaur in order to take blessings of Almighty. Afterwards, a brief reason for celebrating the event was shared by student of M.Sc. Statistics II, Lovepreet Kaur. Based on the speech, a short quiz was conducted. Additionally, there was a poetic section in which Jaswinderpal Singh and Harmanjot Kaur shared their views on Punjab and its culture. The event witnessed Bhangra performance by Nishtha and Sohag performance by Harmanjot Kaur. Followed by this, the official script of Punjabi was conveyed to the audience. Everyone really enjoyed the event. This marked the end to the event Punjab Suba Diwas.This marked the end to the insightful event.
