The Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), Panjab University, Chandigarh, organised a workshop on “Yoga: Harmony of Body, Mind and Spirit” today as part of the Government of India’s Nasha Mukt Bharat initiative and in accordance with the CIQA mandate under ODL Regulations 2020.

Chandigarh, December 12, 2025: The Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), Panjab University, Chandigarh, organised a workshop on “Yoga: Harmony of Body, Mind and Spirit” today as part of the Government of India’s Nasha Mukt Bharat initiative and in accordance with the CIQA mandate under ODL Regulations 2020.
 
More than 90 participants participated in the workshop.
 
Director Prof. Harsh Gandhar, emphasised the importance of yoga and meditation in fostering physical, mental and spiritual well-being. Prof. Surinder K. Shukla, Retired Professor, CDOE, and the distinguished guest for the event, shared insights on the significance of asanas and maintaining a balanced diet.
 
Anurag, Yoga Trainer at the PU Health Centre, explained the benefits of various yoga asanas and demonstrated them through live practice.
 
Faculty members, staff, research scholars and students, actively performed asanas and pranayama under his guidance.
