Panjab University organises one-day Mental Wellness seminar on Indian spiritual traditions
A one-day workshop on Mental Wellness was organised at the Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), Panjab University, Chandigarh. The event comprised three thematic sessions drawing on India’s rich traditions of Yoga, Vedanta, Upanishads, and Sikh philosophy to explore human potential, spirituality, authenticity, and self-discovery.
Chandigarh, December 5, 2025: A one-day workshop on Mental Wellness was organised at the Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), Panjab University, Chandigarh. The event comprised three thematic sessions drawing on India’s rich traditions of Yoga, Vedanta, Upanishads, and Sikh philosophy to explore human potential, spirituality, authenticity, and self-discovery.
In the inaugural session, Kavita from the Brahma Kumari Centre, Chandigarh, elucidated the role of Rajyoga meditation in fostering a positive lifestyle. She highlighted themes of self-organisation, purposeful living, freedom from negativity, and the Gita’s philosophy of inner awakening. The session also featured a guided meditation by Sister Sweta and a devotional performance by Vanita Gupta.
The second session, led by Swami Manish Kumar of the Vivekananda Centre, focused on “Unleashing Potential through Meditation and Yoga.” Drawing from Vedantic philosophy, he emphasised the question “Who am I?” and articulated liberation from all bondages as the ultimate human goal.
